Yazz
Yasmin Evans was born on May 19, 1960 in London's Shepherd's Bush district. Born
to an English mother and Jamaican father, Yasmin first excelled in sport. She
played athletics and especially volleyball at a high level. In 1983, she began
singing for the dance group The Biz, then became the voice of Coldcut's
"Doctorin' the House " in 1988. In the summer of the same year, her song "The
Only Way Is Up" became a massive hit throughout Europe. The Wanted album reached
