The Dominican 'bachata' and salsa artist Zacarías Ferreira was brought up in the
Tamboril area during the 1970s. It's a region of the Dominican Republic famed
for its rich musical heritage and tradition, and Ferreira's family were music
lovers who encouraged their son to pursue his dream of becoming a professional
singer.
Ferreira left Tanboril and moved to the capital of Santo Domingo where he
