Jeffrey Phillip Wielandt, who goes by the name Zakk Wylde, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who has performed with several artists including Ozzy Osbourne in a career that began in his hometown of Bayonne in New Jersey. He had stints with bands Stone Henge and Zyris, performing locally before Ozzy Osbourne hired him as lead guitarist and co-writer in 1988. He left in '95 and a year later released his first solo album 'Book of Shadows'.
