Comprising former members of the bands Bästard (Eric Aldéa) and Narcophony,
Lyon-based Zëro arrived in 2007 with the album Joke Box, and continued with the
EP Bobby Fisher. In 2010, Diesel Dead Machine follows suit, zigzagging between
punk, krautrock and free jazz. Hungry Dogs, Places Where We Go in Dreams and San
Francisco established the band in the French alternative rock landscape. In
2016, the indie band appealed to crowdfunding via MyMajor Company to make their
new album, soberly titled Zëro.
