Born in Geneva on May 13, 1975, Swiss harmonica player Grégoire Maret discovered
the instrument at the age of seventeen, and went on to study music at the
Conservatoire Supérieur National, then at the New School in New York. A session
musician, he took part in numerous recordings with Jim Scott, David Sanborn,
Steve Coleman, Cassandra Wilson, Charlie Hunter, George Benson, Bebel Gilberto,
Bernard Lavilliers and Marcus Miller. He forges an ongoing association and
several albums with Jacky Terrasson, Jeff "Tain" Watts and Meshell Ndegeocello.
