Josh Turner (born on November 20, 1977) is an American country music performer
who overcame a throat ailment to become a popular entertainer with several
Number 1 singles, albums, and awards nominations. Born in South Carolina, he
sang in church as a child and formed a gospel group called Thankful Hearts.
After college and a year off to recover from a lesion on his vocal cords, in
2004 he appeared at the Grand Ole Opry singing his own song “Long Black Train,”
