Andreas Bourani
German pop singer Andreas Bourani is of Egyptian origin but was adopted as a
small child by German parents and raised in the Swabian town of Augsberg. During
hs childhood Bourani's adopted parents supported his ambitions to have a career
in music and sent him to the Downtown Music Institute. After moving to Berlin he
picked up a recording contract with Universal Music and began his professional
career as the opening act for German pop star Philipp Poisel and the Berlin
hip-hop group Culcha Candela.
